Baskin-Robbins is jumping on the plant-based bandwagon with the launch of its new vegan ice cream line.
The ice cream chain’s new plant-based ice cream is available in two varieties: Non-Dairy Chocolate Extreme and Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Both flavors feature non-dairy—yet indulgent—ingredients such as coconut oil and almond butter. And according to Baskin-Robbins they’re also “free from preservatives, high-fructose syrup, artificial flavors, and are Kosher.”
Here’s the Baskin-Robbins plant-based ice cream breakdown:
Non-Dairy and Vegan Chocolate Extreme: Rich chocolate flavor with chocolate chips and a chocolate fudge ribbon. This vegan menu item is gluten free and with no animal sources. That means no milk, fish, egg, shellfish, meat, or honey products.
Non-Dairy and Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: Indulgent cookie dough flavor with chocolate chunks, cookie dough pieces, and a chocolate fudge swirl. Just like the Vegan Chocolate Extreme, this menu item is free from meat, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, or honey products.
It’s worth noting that both varieties contain some allergens. The Non-Dairy Chocolate Extreme ice cream has soy and tree nuts, while the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream contains soy, tree nuts, and wheat.
The suggested prices are: $3.95 for a 2.5 oz scoop and $4.19 for a 4 oz scoop, though prices may vary.
The new plant-based ice creams are available at participating Baskin-Robbins locations nationwide for a limited time.
