Jack in the Box throws its hat into the plant-based ring with the launch of a new menu item called the Unchicken Sandwich.
The new plant-based sandwich, which is available in classic and spicy varieties, can be found at select test locations in Reno, NV, and Monterey, CA for a limited time.
Jack in the Box’s Unchicken Sandwich features a plant-based chicken filet from Raised & Rooted that is made from pea protein isolate and the brand’s traditional crispy breading. The sandwich also comes topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, and it’s all sandwiched between a split top bun.
You can get the sandwich on its own or as part of the chain’s new Unchicken Sandwich Combos for just $6.99. Prices may vary by location.
Unchicken Sandwiches will be available at select test locations from October 15, 2020 through December 12, 2020, or while supplies last.
