Moving Mountains Debuts New Vegan Hot Dog

Moving Mountains is a UK-based company that develops plant-based meat alternatives such as vegan burgers and sliders.

Last week, the company announced the release of a new vegan hot dog that looks and tastes just like a pork hot dog or frankfurter.

According to the company’s product page, the new meatless sausage “will fool even the most committed carnivores.”

Those who have tried it say that it’s even better than most beef and pork-based hot dogs. One reviewer said, “if you didn’t know it was a meat-free product, you probably wouldn’t guess.”

The Moving Mountains hot dog is made with a mix of sunflower seeds, onion, carrot, and coconut oil. This vegan hot dog is rich in vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, and medium-chain fatty acids (better known as MCFAs). The Moving Mountains hot dog is gluten-free and it’s also a high source of protein.

A 100 gram sausage has 146 calories, 7 grams of protein, 3 grams of carbs, 9 grams of fat, 3.2 grams of fiber, no cholesterol, and no added sugar.

When compared to a regular beef or pork sausage the Moving Mountains Hot Dog comes out on top every single time.

The Moving Mountain Hot Dog is currently only available in Europe, but I believe the company has plans to expand into North America. I guess time will tell.
