Saxbys announced that it’s adding JUST Egg to its breakfast menu with the introduction of the new Plant-Powered Breakfast Sandwich.
For those unfamiliar, Saxbys is a Philadelphia-based is a social impact and fast-food restaurant chain that focuses on making people’s lives better.
The Plant-Powered Breakfast Sandwich features a JUST Egg patty topped with a vegan pesto spread and ripe tomatoes on a toasted Saxbys bagel.
Saxbys new made-to-order breakfast menu item is currently only available in the Philadelphia area and at university campus locations. You can get it through the Saxbys app or in-store for a suggested price of $5.50 (may vary).
According to a press release, the egg patty that comes on the Plant-Powered Breakfast Sandwich “has more protein than a patty made with conventional chicken eggs.”
JUST’s liquid egg is free of saturated fat, artificial flavors and colors, and cholesterol. Also, its ingredients require less water and have a smaller carbon footprint than chicken eggs.
