Wagamama Adds New Avant Gard’n and New Shichimi Tofu As Part Of Its Kokoro Bowls Menu

Wagamama adds more vegan options to its U.S. menu with the introduction of two brand new plant-based dishes at participating locations nationwide.

The new dish, called Avant Gard’n, was made in collaboration with popular vegan chef Gaz Oakley. It features brown rice topped with barbecue-glazed seitan, a coconut and sriracha vegan egg, grilled Shiitake mushrooms and asparagus, carrots, onions, and edamame beans. All drizzled with a sweet amai sauce and garnished with a fresh lime wedge and sesame seeds.

The Shichimi Tofu features brown rice topped with shichimi coated tofu, edamame, radish, cucumber, tomatoes, goma seaweed, and pickles drizzled with a ponzu and miso dressing.

Also, the Bang Bang Cauliflower recipe has been refreshed, and it’s now a vegan option. The updated dish now comes with wok-fried cauliflower coated in a firecracker sauce, then mixed with red and spring onions. The new Bang Bang Cauliflower recipe also comes garnished with ginger and cilantro.

The new Shichimi Tofu is sold exclusively at U.S. locations, while the Avant Gard’n Bowl and the Bang Bang Cauliflower are available in both UK and US restaurants.
